Understanding Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs)

Canada’s Provincial Nominee Programs empower provinces and territories to choose immigrants for permanent residence. With over 80 different PNP streams, applicants are shortlisted based on various criteria which include a job offer in the province, work experience in an in-demand occupation, study experience in the province, or having a business locally.

  • Dec 28: Manitoba invited 254 (including 53 Express Entry) candidates to apply to the MPNP, under the Skilled Workers in Manitoba, Skilled Workers Overseas, and the International Education streams. More info here
  • Dec 27: Saskatchewan invited 63 candidates to apply to the SINP, under the Saskatchewan Express Entry and Occupation In-Demand streams. More info here
  • Dec 21: Manitoba invited 1,113 (including 529 Express Entry) candidates to apply to the MPNP, under the Skilled Workers Overseas stream. More info here

  • September 28: Manitoba invited 1,072 to apply through the Skilled Workers Overseas stream. The minimum EOI score ranking was 605. Of those invited, 504 had an Express Entry profile and job seeker validation code. More info here
  • September 26: Alberta invited 18 Express Entry candidates with scores of at least 311 to apply for a provincial nomination through the Dedicated Healthcare Pathway with Alberta job offer stream. More info here
