British Columbia’s New Skills Immigration Draw Issued 149 Invitations

The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) recently held a Skills Immigration draw on June 20, 2023, inviting eligible candidates from the BC PNP pool to apply for immigration. This draw, which marked the third Skills Immigration draw of the month, issued a total of 149 Invitations to Apply (ITAs).

Category 1: Targeted Draw for Tech

In this category, a total of 107 candidates were invited to apply for immigration. The streams that were invited include Skilled Workers, International Graduates (including the EEBC option), and Entry-Level & Semi-Skilled workers.  The minimum score of 90 was required to qualify for the invitation in this category.

Category 2: Targeted Draw for Childcare (Early Childhood Educators and Assistants)

The second category of invitations targeted individuals in the childcare sector, specifically early childhood educators and assistants (NOC 42202). Eighteen candidates were invited from the Skilled Workers and International Graduates streams, including the EEBC option. The minimum score required for an invitation in this category was 60.

Category 3: Targeted Draw for Healthcare

Nineteen candidates in the healthcare field received invitations in this category. The Skilled Workers and International Graduates streams, including the EEBC option, were invited to apply. Similar to the childcare category, the minimum score required for an invitation was 60.

Category 4: Targeted Draw for Other Priority Occupations

The final category targeted occupations classified under NOCs 31103 and 32104. Five candidates from the Skilled Workers and International Graduates streams, including the EEBC option, received invitations. The minimum score required for this category was also 60.

The BC PNP regularly issues ITAs to eligible candidates, usually on a weekly basis, although there may be exceptions. The frequency, size, and date of the next draw are determined based on the needs of the BC PNP application inventory.

The BC PNP plays a vital role in facilitating the immigration process for skilled workers, international graduates, and other individuals with in-demand skills in British Columbia.
