Manitoba Immigration

Located in one of Canada’s western Prairie provinces, Manitoba is a region with a rich agricultural heritage and home to Winnipeg’s vibrant city. Surrounded by vibrant Canadian provinces like Ontario and Saskatchewan, Manitoba serves as a promising province for newcomers.

Manitoba immigration process is strategically designed to attract immigrants who can contribute to the province’s development. It offers various immigration pathways catering to different categories of individuals, including skilled workers, workers in sectors with labor shortages, recent graduates, and agricultural entrepreneurs.

Skilled Workers in Manitoba (SWM)

The Skilled Workers in Manitoba stream is divided into three pathways. These pathways are designed to target individuals who have gained employment experience or have offers of employment in Manitoba. Candidates must currently work and reside in Manitoba at the time of their application, or they may be invited to apply after attending a recruitment session with MPNP overseas. The three pathways are:

  • Skilled Workers in Manitoba Stream
  • Manitoba Experience Pathway (Coming soon)
  • Employer Direct Recruitment Pathway (Coming soon)

Skilled Workers Overseas (SWO)

The Skilled Workers Overseas stream also consists of three pathways. These pathways aim to attract skilled workers who can easily integrate into Manitoba’s workforce and adapt to life in the province. Preference is given to candidates with experience in Manitoba’s In-Demand Occupations. The three pathways under this category are:

  • Manitoba Skilled Workers Overseas Stream
  • Manitoba Express Entry Pathway
  • Manitoba Human Capital Pathway (Coming soon)

International Education Stream (IES)

The International Education Stream targets recent graduates from designated post-secondary institutions in Manitoba. Candidates in this category should have some work experience or business management experience from the province, either gained after graduation or during their program of study through an internship or co-op. There are three pathways within this stream:

  • Manitoba Career Employment Pathway
  • Manitoba Graduate Internship Pathway
  • Manitoba Student Entrepreneur Pathway

Business Investor Stream (BIS)

The Business Investor Stream (BIS) is specifically designed for individuals with business management experience who aspire to launch a new business venture in Manitoba. It comprises two immigration streams catering to different sectors:

Manitoba In-Demand Occupations

Several streams within Manitoba immigration prioritize candidates with work experience in the province’s in-demand occupations. Although not mandatory for all streams, having experience in these occupations can provide an advantage during selection.
