Notably, no Business Work Permit invitations were issued during this round.
Invitation Process
If you find yourself among the invited candidates, expect an email notification containing your file number and submission instructions. Both you and your employer will need to complete respective application forms. Notably, this draw aligns with PEI’s PNP schedule for 2024, indicating a consistent approach to candidate selection.
PEI’s Express Entry Stream Eligibility
For those eyeing PEI’s Express Entry stream, meeting specific criteria is crucial:
- Eligibility under at least one federal Express Entry stream: FSWP, FSTP, or CEC.
- Creation of an Express Entry profile through IRCC and inclusion in the candidate pool.
- Prioritization of applicants working and residing in PEI with an eligible employer.
Candidates must demonstrate nine months of continuous full-time work with a PEI employer supporting their immigration. Additionally, they should have at least four months left on their work permit at the time of Expression of Interest (EOI) submission under certain circumstances, like holding a PGWP or SOWP.
Application Process
To initiate the immigration process through PEI PNP, candidates must create a profile in PEI’s Expression of Interest (EOI) system. The system ranks and invites candidates based on various factors, including language proficiency, education, work experience, strategic priorities, and employment prospects.
Profiles remain active for six months, during which candidates must ensure the accuracy and verifiability of their provided information. Upon receiving an invitation to apply in a subsequent draw, candidates must pay a non-refundable processing fee of CAD$ 300.
