Apply for Permanent Residence: Express Entry

Canada invites skilled workers and traders to immigrate and have permanent residence in the country. Candidates with the highest comprehensive ranking score and an approved profile are invited by the IRCC (Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada) to apply for permanent residency.

Note: The candidates are provided with an Invitation to Apply (ITA), which must be applied within 60 days of its receiving.

Here’s How You Can Apply for the Canadian Permanent Residence Application Process:

  • The candidates who have received for Invitation to Apply can only apply for permanent residency through Express Entry.
  • This application is valid only for 60 days, thus one must begin filling out the forms, which are accessed through the account without delays.
  • Make sure to attach the required documents, be careful with your answers, and fill in the mandatory fields.
  • In case your documents are in a language other than French or English, then along with the original document scan, its French or English translation must be submitted with a stamp by a certified translator or an affidavit by the person who completed the translation.
  • The applicant must have a valid passport. If it has a validity of only 6 months from the day of issue, then it must be renewed. The new passport information must be updated in the application.
  • The next step is to pay the processing fees online. It is also recommended to pay a biometrics fee.
  • In case, the changes are to be made to the application, an applicant can do it through the web application.
  • After the application submission, it is reviewed by the federal authorities, and their decision about the application is informed through the account. Basis their decision, either candidate is required to pay the Right of Permanent Residence Fee, in case not paid already or with the rejection, the candidate has to begin the whole process again.
