On March 1, 2024, the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) conducted a draw under its Express Entry stream. This latest draw invited 2,583 candidates specifically under the Skilled Trades Stream. The invitations were issued based on profiles created in the IRCC’s Express Entry System between March 1, 2023, and March 1, 2024.
Invitation Details
The candidates who received Notifications of Interest (NOIs) had CRS scores ranging from 350 to 424. The draw targeted 48 National Occupational Classifications (NOCs), including Contractors and supervisors, Industrial electricians, Crane operators, and Aircraft mechanics. What to Expect If Invited
If you are one of the fortunate individuals invited to this draw, expect to receive a notification in your IRCC Online account. You will have a timeframe of 45 days from the date of invitation to submit a complete application for Canadian Permanent Residency to the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program.
New Application Requirement
A noteworthy update as of February 26, 2024, is the mandatory inclusion of the Applicant Consent Form in all new applications for an OINP nomination. This form, signed by the applicant and their spouse and dependents if applicable, must be completed, correctly dated, and uploaded along with other necessary documents. It is crucial to ensure the form’s accuracy, as any errors may result in the return of your application as incomplete, with a refund of your fee. Notably, representatives cannot sign this form on behalf of the applicant.
Important Note
It is important to note that the PDF Attestation Form is no longer required for applications made under an expression of interest system stream.
