To support these communities, the Government of Canada has announced an investment of over $9.3 million in 12 new projects aimed at fostering the development and expansion of Francophone minority communities outside Quebec.

On International Francophonie Day, Rachel Bendayan, Minister of Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship, revealed new funding initiatives designed to bolster Francophone immigration. These projects fall under the Francophone Immigration Support Program and are managed by the Centre for Innovation in Francophone Immigration.
The primary focus areas include:
- Recruitment and Selection: Attracting more French-speaking immigrants to Canada.
- Community Promotion: Strengthening awareness and support for Francophone minority regions.
- Permanent Residency Assistance: Helping French-speaking applicants successfully integrate.
- Research and Analysis: Identifying barriers to Francophone immigration and developing solutions.

Ambitious Francophone Immigration Targets
Canada is set to increase its targets for French-speaking permanent residents outside Quebec as part of the 2025–2027 Immigration Levels Plan:
