Important Notes for Candidates

Due to the high volume of applications received this year, processing times remain longer than usual for 2025. Immigration New Brunswick has stated that it cannot guarantee processing before a work permit expires and urges all applicants to maintain valid work authorization throughout their immigration process.

Applicants are encouraged to regularly monitor their INB profiles for updates and submit complete applications within 20 days of receiving their invitation.

About the NBPNP Expression of Interest System

New Brunswick uses an Expression of Interest (EOI) model to manage applications under its Provincial Nominee Program. The system enables the province to invite candidates who best meet local labour market demands and align with economic priorities.

Meeting eligibility criteria does not guarantee an invitation, and an ITA does not automatically result in a nomination. However, candidates who receive a nomination gain an additional 600 CRS points in the Express Entry system, significantly increasing their chances of securing Canadian permanent residence.
