Northwest Territories Immigration

The Northwest Territories offers vast economic opportunities and an exceptionally welcoming community environment for global professionals. Boasting competitive wage scales and active labor needs, the territory offers clear immigration pathways through the Northwest Territories Provincial Nominee Program (NTNP).

Northwest Territories PNP Skilled Worker Stream

The Skilled Worker Stream is designed for foreign nationals who have received a valid, full-time job offer in a skilled occupation (TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3) from an established employer in the Northwest Territories. Applicants must possess the required licensing or qualifications for the position, satisfy baseline English or French language proficiencies, and document sufficient funds to settle successfully.

Employer-Driven Program: Express Entry Stream

If you maintain an active profile within the federal Express Entry pool and meet the core criteria of the Skilled Worker stream, you may qualify for the Northwest Territories Express Entry Stream. This pathway provides expedited federal processing, allowing successful nominees to secure permanent residency rapidly.

Northwest Territories PNP Critical Impact Worker Stream

The Critical Impact Worker Stream focuses on foreign nationals working in semi-skilled or entry-level occupations (TEER 4 or 5) who have already been lawfully employed in the territory for a minimum of six months. Employers must demonstrate active local recruitment efforts and show their business is in good standing with territorial authorities to support the nomination.
