Northwest Territories PNP Skilled Worker Stream

The Skilled Worker Stream is designed for foreign nationals who have received a job offer in a skilled occupation from an employer in the Northwest Territories. To qualify Skilled Worker stream, one is required to meet all the eligibility criteria. The applicant must be qualified for the position, fluent in English or French, have relevant work experience, and sufficient funds to support themselves for Northwest Territories immigration.

Employer Driven Program – Northwest Territories: Express Entry Stream

If you qualify for one of the three federal immigration programs (Federal Skilled Worker, Federal Skilled Trades, or Canadian Experience Class) and are eligible to enter the federal Express Entry pool, you may also be eligible for the Northwest Territories Express Entry Stream. This stream allows the nomination of certain potential immigrants who meet the criteria of the Skilled Worker Stream.

Northwest Territories PNP Critical Impact Worker Stream

The Critical Impact Worker Stream is designed for foreign nationals working in low-skilled or unskilled occupations who have already been employed in the Northwest Territories for at least six months. To qualify, one must have a full-time permanent job offer complementing their skills, work experience, and language proficiency. As an employer, the company must have a vacant position, be registered and in operation for a minimum of 6 months, and is in good standing with the relevant authorities.

Business Driven Program – Northwest Territories PNP Entrepreneur Business Stream

If you are planning to invest in or start a new venture in the Northwest Territories, the Entrepreneur Business Stream is ideal for you. For this, one is required to make a minimum investment of $300,000 CAD in a business in Yellowknife or $150,000 CAD in a business outside of Yellowknife. Moreover, one must have a net worth of at least $500,000 CAD (for Yellowknife) or $250,000 CAD (outside Yellowknife) and is able to make a $75,000 CAD refundable deposit guaranteeing the execution of the Performance Agreement.

The Self-Employed Business Stream is designed for individuals whose skills or professions are in demand in the Northwest Territories and who have the necessary license or accreditation to practice their profession. To stand eligible, one must be proficient in English or French and have sufficient funds and knowledge of the socio-economic conditions of the Northwest Territories. Additionally, you must prepare a detailed business plan outlining your proposals for practicing your profession in the Northwest Territories, be employed in an occupation that is deemed to have a professional skill shortage and meet any specific requirements for the profession in Canada.
