Step 3: Prepare for Your Appointment

Bring the following items to your appointment:

• Valid passport or government-issued ID
• A list of current medications
• Previous medical records (if any)
• Vaccination history
• Eyeglasses or contact lenses (if you wear them)

It’s also helpful to ask the clinic in advance if there are any additional local requirements.

Step 4: During the Medical Exam

Your visit may include:

• A review of your medical history
• A physical examination (checking heart, lungs, vision, and general health)
• Blood and urine tests
• Chest X-ray (for applicants aged 11 or older)

Step 5: Get Your Proof of Completion

After the exam:

• The doctor will send your results directly to IRCC.

Step 6: Submit Your PR Application

Once you receive your Invitation to Apply (ITA), log in to your IRCC account and upload the IME confirmation document with your application. This step is now mandatory.
